Dr. Simon Zilko

I saw Dr Zilko initially with an Ankle Fracture at which stage he was very supportive and helpful and I immediately felt comfortable in his care
However he seems to get easily upset and highly strung when he reckoned he was concerned with my communication.
However when I wanted to ask one or 2 questions that I had forgotten to ask at the consult I then asked the receptionist Ashleigh if she could pas the messages on to him.
To be told no Simon doesn't Answer over the phone questions you need to make another appointment.
Not taking into consideration I had to make the trip from Mandurah for a 5 min appointment and be charged a consult fee.
I then had a different opinion of Dr Zilko so had to try and seek another Specialist which i still haven't found one as excellent as Dr Zilko.
Because of this communication Dr Zilko has suspended me from the Clinic and further more from seeing any of the other Surgeons in the same Practice.
I then got abused by Susan the practice manager a bit unprofessional if you ask me with a lack of people skills.
I have been left quite traumatized by this experience and still.with no success in finding a Surgeon
I hope no one else suffers the same as I have and to be honest the duty of patient cars has been lost as they didn't care whether I was still having Ankle or foot Problems or not.

I have just had my final appointment with Dr Zilko after he rebuilt my ankle following a fall I had at the beginning of December last year. He is an excellent surgeon and the result achieved speaks for itself. After the injury he was very clear that it was serious and potentially life altering, he assured me that he would do his very best and that I would need to follow all post surgery instructions to achieve the best result possible. I am quite an active person and would like to return to being so - I know without a doubt that Simon has given me the best chance of doing this. A heart felt thank-you Simon. Sincerely, John
