Dear Abbey Café

Atmosphere: awesome, lots of natural light.
Food: diverse, interesting, tasty.
Hygiene: very tidy and clean.
Facilities: carpark across the road, lots of tables scattered throughout the church location.

My partner and I have been to Dear Abbey twice now and both times have been an amazing experience! It has not ‘just’ been the amazing food and drinks that has left us both with such a highly rated impression of Dear Abbey. But yet the customer service which is on an equal level to the amazing mouth watering Eggs Bene - Duck or the Triple Cooked Pork Belly Burger or the Yellow Fin Tuna (which needs to come back to the permanent menu please). It is so refreshing to have such friendly faces greeting you as they hold the door open for you or talking to you about the new specials on the menu.
I am a firm believer of staff being a direct reflection of management and especially in this case. Mel Mejia has been the manager on the floor for both of our wonderful experiences here and I truly believe that this establishment and the team work so well together due to his leadership, knowledge and experience. Congratulations to Mel and all of the staff that continually contribute to this already well known establishment that is truly a hidden gem.
To all of the staff at Dear Abbey, we will be back many, many more times so please continue to take such pride in your profession. Because you all helped put a smile on both mine and my partners face and made our day better. So thank you and keep up the amazing work ????????

Nice light filled space. My food was excellent, the mushroom breakfast with chorizo. Eggs were perfectly cooked, the mushroom mix was balanced and so tasty. Dining partner had the incredible seafood pasta, light and tasty with very fresh ingredients. Staff were nice and serves food promptly

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had! This place has a great atmosphere with friendly staff it definitely gets busy but it's worth the wait! Excellent coffee too!

I’ve eaten here 3 times; first time was great! Second time was good and the third was underwhelming. The meals are huge. I liked the menu but was disappointed they took the smashed peas off the hot plate - they just complimented the dish so well. I had the hot plate on the first & 3rd occasion - most of the ingredients lacked flavour & quality on the 3rd visit. My partner had bacon & eggs, eggs were over cooked & bacon was Dry. The service has been pretty good & I love their coffee. Unfortunately when I dropped by for takeaways on the way to work it took quite a while for the coffees to be made. There was no one else waiting & barely a customer in site but the staff were too busy chatting / messing around which caused the held up. Inconsistent but I’d probably try again & stay away from the breakfast items. Picture from first visit.
