  All the courses were fantastic. Entree of scallops and black pudding with pureed cauliflower very unusual and tasty. Mains was beef cheeks, very tender with baby carrots, great flavor. Dessert of apple and rhubarb crumble, delicious. Service was excellent and very friendly.

  The rooms inside are a lovely surprise, very clean and spacious. The only let down, no milk for coffee in the fridge or extra toilet rolls.

  Couldn't fault it amazing food, clean comfortable rooms and beds the staff were absolutely wonderful and friendly.

  Stayed here for 3 nights while on a business trip. Rooms are showing a bit of age but it was clean and well furnished. Had a microwave inside which was handy. For breakfast I had the 3 egg omelette on both mornings and not only did it arrive on time, but was done well. Staff were professional, just wished they were bit more fun, personable or cheerful. I didn’t have a car on this trip so in terms of location it was a bit out of the main town where all the restaurants and shops are, about a 20 mins walk.

  Excellent food, service and staff. Bed was so comfy. Had a great feed and sleep. What more could you want. Would highly recommend.
