Ordered the grab roll sashimi, unagi and prawn, wagyu and chicken skewers, green tea soba salad, tuna taco & aburi salmon. Amazing all we’re absolutely delicious and delightful. The skewers were the most surprising and satisfying of all. Amazed by this place. A must try! -

(April 1, 2023, 10:06 pm)Love this lil spot on chapel st. The volcano sushi was excellent and so was the kaisen don. Agedashi eggplant was also a nice change from the normal toufu. Everything was fresh and quick.

(March 17, 2023, 5:04 am)Loved it! Mr Miyagi, move over because there's another hit in town. Taste was amazing. Textures and flavours worked hand in hand to deliver balanced and delicious dishes one after another.
Can't wait to go back. Surprised that they weren't more packed. Have already booked again for next week. -

(February 4, 2023, 6:17 pm)My visited here wasn’t planned. I was looking for a quick bite to eat that was somewhat lighter than a full lunch. Kaya Izakaya was amazing!
I was on the early side of lunch so the venue was quiet and I had the full attention of the staff, who were polite, friendly and courteous.
The food was fantastic, delivered to my table quickly, and affordable.
The decor inside was a kinda kitschy modern Japanese styling with a cool mural down the main eating area.
I’d highly recommend this venue for a full meal or a quick bite on the run. -

(January 7, 2023, 10:35 am)Overall, a great experience! The location is awesome - it's on Chapel St, Windsor and parking was actually pretty easy to find, which is rare for that area.
The service was friendly, but the waitresses seemed a bit nervous and reserved.
The food was mostly excellent - the fried chicken could use a sauce to really make it pop, though.
The biggest issue for me was the atmosphere - it was way too quiet! Where's the trendy background music? It felt weird to sit in such a quiet restaurant.
Despite that, I'd definitely come back again. The sashimi tacos were an absolute standout and this place has so much potential. Can't wait to see how it grows and evolves. Keep up the great work!
