I started at the cattery two years ago now and I have loved every single day of it! We are only needed there for 2-3 hours in the morning to clean the pens, feed the cats and play/cuddle them, etc. Space wise, we have 12 single pens and 6 "double" pens which can hold up to 3 cats and the standard single pens are 8ft tall x 6ft deep and 4ft wide (double pens are 8ft wide).
