Stopped by at the somewhat inconspicuous shop opposite the pub the other day, after shuddering at Woolies prices in Highfields. Was met with a delightfully rich whiff of smoked meat, and was greeted with banter and advice by a couple of butchery-looking blokes! I bought some bbq steak and lamb which was pleasing in cost and was splendid on the bbq. They produce their own smallgoods - and I wish I'd picked up the bacon at least, to take back home to Brissie with me. There should be a queue into this excellent shop. I'll bring an esky next time I visit.
