  The owners are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is not new BUT it is very best and clean and tidy and very well presented. When I arrived at night and walked in to my room (it was booked a week before I arrived) the air conditioning was turned on already and the room was amazing.considering it was still over 35 degrees outside it was a pleasant surprise. The bed was extremely comfortable and so was the pillows. Fridge had a full jug of water in it and 2 X trays of ice cubes in freezer also. Also a word of warning if you want red rooster for dinner they don't deliver to the post code the hotel is at. I tried with their web site and computer said no. Oh well. However there is a Chinese shop near by that does delivery called Dragon Magic noodle house and their food was amazing and delivery was done in 30 mins of order placed.this hotel has tv. Wifi. Pool. BBQ area. Smoking area. (No smoking in or near rooms) and staff were very good in answering our questions. Loved staying here.

  Excellent rates, very comfy and very friendly. Normally stay at caravan parks in ensuite villas, this bigger, better and cheaper. Family of six.

  Dont judge a book!! We were surprised at how huge our unit was, spotlessly clean & fully equipped with all the extras. I am recommending Hi- Way units to everyone. Very impressed. Hosts are beautiful people.

  Have stayed here about 6 or 7 times. Always meticulously clean and tidy. Very well appointed comfortable rooms. Lovely staff.
  I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Mackay.
