  Great view. Great food. Great company with my Dad. Great surprise catching up with a past girlfriend unexpectedly.

  This place has an amazing view and nice outdoor seating to watch while you eat. It is leaning towards the pricier side but that is as expected.
  If you go here be sure to try out the fishermans plate. I warn you it's a very heavy meal but incredibly delicious!

  You can beat an egg, but you can't beat this place! The best view this side of Hawaii, the best food in Mackay and the best staff in Australia! Love it!

  Reading these other reviews is hilarious, not sure why locals are still surprised. The good reviews about service are clearly from staff or the owners. This hotel has basically been the same for decades.
  
  The food is overpriced, very average & borderline bad(think airport level quality). Charging extra for salad with meals? Come on guys really?
  
  The service is also questionable at best, with question to order food and minimal staff. However it has one of the most spectacular views I’ve seen in my life. You’re able to sit and look out to sea, drink cold beer and munch on some average food.
  
  The view trumps everything.
  
  It really is a love/hate relationship with this place.

  Gorgeous place! The service was lovely, great food and refreshing beers. My boyfriend and I had an awesome time chilling out over lunch up there!!! I highly recommend a visit to this scenic pub.
