  My wife and I have been going to Port Douglas years and have always stayed at some of the bigger resorts further out of town, but on our most recent trip we decided that we would mix it up a bit and decided to stay in town to be closer to the action and closer to the action we were. The room is located in the perfect position at the end of the main street close to all the good shops and restaurants. We even spent a couple of afternoons just sitting on the balcony relaxing with a bottle of wine listening to the band play at the pub across the road (the noise is blocked out when the door is closed to the room).
  The room was lovely, bedding linen was superb and room features second to none, there's is even a washer dryer which was super handy to have.
  We'd definitely stay here again!

  We absolutely loved staying at sugar wharf apartment. The apartment is positioned in the heart of town. We enjoyed many lovely moments having dinners/drink/breakfasts on its al-fresco kitchen/balcony, and watching Macrossan Street wake up or go to town!
  
  We also used the pool and spa a lot, in fact we enjoyed those on our own a number of times. It never felt crowded. Our of all the pools we have seen in Port Douglas, this is one of the good ones.
  
  The apartment itself was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, we enjoyed the sitting area. It was a plus to have access to netflix.
  
  The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals, a massive bonus was to have a washing machine/dryer. The kitchen equipment was modern looking, new and clean, which was nice.
  
  Highly recommend.
