Mangrove Boardwalk Vehicle Park

Very peaceful. The longer you stay the more life you see in more and more places and environments

It was great walking track located near Cairns airport. I went there with my children who are 7 and 3 years old. They also enjoyed walking because we could find thousands of crabs there. Besides trees growing in the mangrove were awesome. I think we can see different scenery between dry season and rain season. One thing I would like to advice when you visit there is not to forget to bring insect repellents and to wear long pants.

Beautiful mangrove board walk that lets you experience different variations of mangroves and associated wildlife. At times the walk becomes quite eerie which is unlike anything you will experience on other mangrove board walks. The effort to build the walk, provide information on the way, and let tourist experience such a unique landscape is a credit to the government of the area.

If you like nature it's the place for you. Great experience and make sure you do walks starting at both ends of the carpark. People please stop whinging about places that someone put a lot of money and effort to build and you can visit absolutely for free. If you don't like it simply leave and next time stay home watching tv.

This free car park is for the Mangrove Boardwalks. There's no right turn on exit, but watch out for creative driving manoeuvres as people heading for the airport work around that. Also, being in the mangroves, there are lots of mosquitoes around here.
