  We chose The Smug Fig because it was attached to a "plantie shop"but it turns out to be well worth the visit in its own right. A real good variety of foods in a really nice and relaxed surrounding with good coffee. The staff were lovely and friendly, and two of them even laughed at my dad jokes!
  
  I am happy to recommend this, and the attached plant, antique and other cool stuff.

  I liked the taste of everything. We ordered 2 medium, one large beef dish (amazing) and two sides to share amongst 5 people. We had 1-2 drinks each. I think one or two more large dishes and we would have been full.
  
  It's a nice place with plenty of energy, so good to park on the road and the food of course is great! All the staff that served us deserve a gold medal because they are so nice. I would return to the restaurant.
  
  My Strawberry lemon drop cocktail $18 was FULL of ICE.. i was very disappointed and showed the waitress by lifting up the ice. After she saw how little of any liquid was in the bottom of the glass she was very accommodating and got them to make it again. (I thought they would disagree or tell me I need to order something else but the lady was so nice.) She was extremely lovely. Thank you

  Food- 5⭐'s was delish and everything was fresh. My poached egg was????. . It was a very hot day Atmosphere - 3 ⭐'s unfortunately as it's an open space with no fans or anything to help circulate the air it can get quite hot. We and other guests were definitely feeling it... I could smell it ????. Just needs some fans and all will be good.
  Service - 4⭐'s it does annoy me that you get seated when you arrive. But then need to go up to the counter to make your order. There's been queues to do this everytime I've been and it's annoying that who ever get the task to order misses out on that time catching up. The staff were lovely and accommodating.
  Was also nice to end the visit by checking out the gift shop and nursery section too. ????

  Shady, leafy garden cafe. Very good food. With the added benefit of a plant nursery, garden shop, gift & clothing shops - all offering unique wares. A great one-stop place for coffee catch-ups and a leisurely browse, particularly for hard-to-buy-for folk. (Super-busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but they take your name & will come and fetch you from the retail space if you have to wait for a table.). I recommend this place regularly.

  Great south side place! Surrounded by a nursery / garden, can expect a chill time. Food is always on point and the coffee is great. Even though the place gets super busy come weekends, the staff are always more than accommodating and friendly.
