  I used Suncoast Bathroom renovations as they were highly recommended by a work colleague. I did not even get another quote from another company! I needed my small unit in Nelson Bay basically rebuilt with new kitchen, bathroom, walls, new electrical and plumbing. The process was very easy and the standard of work was excellent. They were on time with the rebuild. They have the best tiler, I was very fussy! I wanted all the grout lines to run together from wall to floor, this was done superbly. I am also very happy with my Vibe kitchen. I have no hesitation in recommending Suncoast Bathroom Renovations.

  Suncoast Bathrooms completed my bathroom renovation and replaced water damaged flooring at Fletcher. This company delivers expert work of the highest standard. Courteous, professional, accessible and helpful; they have been a pleasure to do business with. There are so many more reasons why I would highly recommend Suncoast. I absolutely love my new bathroom!

  I own Suncoast Bathrooms & this review is in response to a negative review by Corrine made back in 2016 but only just bought to my attention.
  
  Lovely lady, had been completely ripped off by an un licensed, un qualified
  fraudulent handyman, to say the very least.
  
  When Suncoast inspected her job after responding to an extremely distressed phone call from Corinne, I found her Ensuite had only been 80% completed & extremely poorly. l later found the guy had also cut down her floor joists in some cases to less that .070mm & had replaced some with H2 pine spanning the full width of the room then sheeted in Secura, got his fall through the sag.
  Our re construction was expensive, as she has mentioned but it included complete replacement of bearers & joists new piers Secura floor sheeting, full replacement of the bits & pieces of plumbing this guy had also done himself & hid in the wall cavities (along with live terminated electrical cables also found under the floor) re sheet of all walls & replacement of the ceiling which had also been damaged.
  Every fitting that this guy had installed for her, had been damaged or had items missing, this guy had also carried out his own Electrical work through her kitchen causing her to be electrocuted in that area in the months prior to us being called.
  Upon my initial inspection, I was extremely surprised to hear she had done no license checks at all prior to engaging him. I told her I felt the area would need a full rebuild & I advised her to go to Fair Trading prior to us doing any work to the Ensuite. I provided her with the necessary contact details & advice on how to do so & she did take my advice but this process alone also became a very drawn out process causing her heaps of stress.
  The renovation based on our initial inspection was finally carried out approximately 12 months after the quote was issued, items such as in wall plumbing & electrical plus the complete picture on the sub floor were not evident until the job had been fully stripped due to restricted access to these areas.
  Some points made in an email to her whilst WAITING for final payment, (Which she seems to have taken offence to but not let me know) were that if a correctly qualified, licensed & insured builder such as Suncoast or one of many builders in this area all trying to do the right thing by their clients, had been engaged in the first place, the price paid for the complete renovation would have been very reasonable however adding the cost from the first attempt, in excess of 8.5K paid to the first guy, plus the second cost for tiles, shower screen & other items that required replacement that the client had already purchased & had to all be replaced, even a vented skylight (As he had deleted any windows or ventilation) plus the repairs required on top of the normal job like the replacement of the modified sub floor frame, yes, expensive but not our fault.
  The client was very stressed for good reason, the process through Fair Trading & the end result was not good as the guy had no licence, only a soft slap on his hand with extremely reduced refund repayment plan applied to him added to her stress.
  The final result was a great Ensuite, with respect shown to the client & her family / belongings throughout the whole process plus full warranty.
  No one deserves to go through this stress but if the proper checks are carried out the chances of it occurring can be greatly reduced.
  The extra / complete detail on Corinne’s review would have been nice to see however omitted. Thanks for taking the time to read mine.

  I must say they had lovely tradesmen that did a good job and I was happy with the work although expensive. My bathroom was being done for the second time due to an incompetent tradesman. The owner of this company left a bad taste in my mouth with a nasty email at the end of the job, blaming me for not checking out the other tradesman. He had to have the last say in what was a difficult time for me. Any good work they did got overridden by that email. I would not recommend this company.
