When they are on the hot dog stand (Communist Russia) the food is shared and everyone is well-fed. Once they move to to the kitchen (America) most people are starving and all the food is being taken by the fly which represents the cooperations having all the wealth whilst the people have none. Everyone in the kitchen is only looking out for themselves except for the comrades erky and perky whom share all the food they get with each other. Erky Perky is a reminder of how the Bourgeoisie take all of the resources whilst the people are left to fend for themselves
